Client: Consumer electronics brand team (Philips-licensed TV line) Deliverable: A ~1 minute 3D product animation for a new Philips OLED TV Services: 3D animation, motion graphics, brand-compliant video production
The Challenge
The client’s marketing team needed a polished launch video to showcase a new Philips OLED TV, built entirely from a 3D model rather than physical footage. The video had to highlight several key features at once: OLED picture quality, Dolby Vision IQ, 120Hz refresh rate, AMD FreeSync Premium, and a built-in Roku streaming experience. On top of the creative challenge, the video needed to strictly follow Philips, Dolby, Roku, and AMD brand guidelines, including exact logo usage, wordmark colors, and legal trademark language.
Our Process
We kicked things off with mood boards, giving the client a range of visual directions (dark studio, living room, futuristic neon) to react to before committing to a style. Once they aligned on a minimalist look transitioning into a cozy living room scene, we built concept renders using the client’s own 3D TV model and moved into a grayscale animatic, a rough cut used purely to nail timing, camera movement, and music sync before investing in full color and lighting.

From there, the project moved through several structured feedback rounds. The client sent detailed, timestamped notes on everything from logo placement and copy changes to on screen accuracy (like making sure the 60Hz comparison visibly looked less smooth than the 120Hz side). We incorporated each round methodically, batching revisions together to avoid a never-ending change loop, and kept communication tight around music timing, since even small cuts could desync the whole edit. We delivered an HD preview first for review, then rendered the final version in full 4K once approved, complete with sound design, trademark legal lines, and required disclaimers. As a bonus, we produced a Canadian localization (updated Roku UI copy and regional adjustments) at no additional cost, since it didn’t require new 3D work.
The Result
The final video hit every brand and technical requirement while staying true to the client’s creative vision. The client’s own words after final delivery: “You did a great job and fit the vision perfectly!”
Why It Worked
- Structured feedback loops: Batching revisions instead of reacting to every single note kept the project from spiraling into endless small edits.
- Brand precision: Multiple brand guidelines (Philips, Dolby, Roku, AMD) were followed exactly, down to logo color rules and legal disclaimer text.
- Built-in flexibility: Delivering a localized regional version at no extra cost turned a small ask into a relationship-building win
