Client: ADI Global Distribution (a Resideo/Snap One brand) Project type: CGI product launch video Deliverable: A 90-second to 2-minute animated video for a new Wi-Fi router (Araknis)
The Brief
In January 2026, Samantha Hendrix, a Marketing Specialist at ADI Global Distribution, reached out to Quince Creative through the studio’s website contact form. Her team was preparing to launch a new networking product and wanted a CGI/animated video to introduce it – something in the 90-second to 2-minute range, built for both widescreen and square social formats.
She came with a clear creative brief and a reference video from a competitor:
- Warm, modern, aspirational-luxury tone with a “premium tech, human touch” feel
- A mix of high-tech motion graphics and photoreal rendering
- Animated networking signals and UI overlays
- Lifestyle stock footage blended with CGI
- On-screen text and voiceover
- Deliverables in 4K, 16:9 and 1:1
Scoping and Agreement
Quince Creative team responded the same day. Based on the reference video’s complexity, we quoted a project cost and a two-to-three-month production window, noting that the estimate assumed ADI Global would supply CAD files of the product rather than Quince modeling it from scratch.
ADI Global came back about a week later ready to move forward.
Production
With the agreement and CAD files in hand, the team moved into production against a target launch date in mid-March:
- Early previews: Quince shared initial renders and previews, which ADI Global’s marketing team was excited to circulate internally to their product and project managers.
- Animatic and grayscale pass: In early March, Quince delivered an animatic, a grayscale animated storyboard with a rough audio mix, so the client could sign off on pacing, flow, and structure before full colorization.
- Review calls: The teams kept in regular touch through short video call touchbases (using Google Meet and Calendly to schedule), reviewing renders together and confirming there were no missing assets on either side.
- First full-quality cut: By late March, Quince delivered the first full-quality version of the finished video for client review.
Throughout, the working relationship stayed informal and responsive: quick email replies, flexible scheduling around the client’s internal review cycles, and a willingness to explain technical choices (like why the grayscale animatic didn’t yet include titles or icons) in plain terms.
Result
The launch video landed well. In a follow-up message a few months later, ADI Global’s Marketing Manager Carina Teleha wrote to Quince Creative:
“Everyone is thrilled with the networking videos! Thank you for the incredible work on that.”
The relationship didn’t stop at one deliverable. Within weeks, ADI Global came back with two new requests:
- A still-image render quote for a new Wi-Fi unit launch, explicitly asking for something “like last time”
- A 3D commercial building model (2D/3D) for a separate print project on a tight turnaround
That repeat business, plus the formal vendor setup with ADI Global’s accounts payable team, turned a single quoted project into an ongoing client relationship.
Why It Worked
A few things stood out about this engagement:
- Clear scoping up front. Anchoring the estimate to a reference video the client provided made pricing and expectations concrete from the first reply.
- Client-supplied CAD files. Letting ADI Global provide accurate 3D source files kept modeling costs down and shortened the timeline.
- A structured review process. Moving from early previews to a grayscale animatic to a full-color cut gave the client low-cost checkpoints to catch issues before final rendering.
- Protecting the client’s confidentiality. Signing an NDA before handling pre-launch product files built trust with a distributor handling other companies’ unreleased products.
